The coral colonies of the whole world, especially the ones in the Great Barrier Reef of the Queensland coast, are already compromised by bleaching because of the acceleration of climate change. Harvesting the coral that is left will keep on destroying a natural wonder that takes decades and decades to recuperate from any event, at a faster rate than it can heal itself. That will effectively destroy a whole ecosystem that is actually a World Natural Heritage certified site.
