Stand with persecuted Christians caught in conflict in the Middle East
War is never simple.
Across the Middle East, conflict is bringing fear, instability, and suffering to millions of innocent people – regardless of their background, nationality, or faith.
In times like these, it’s often the most vulnerable who suffer the most.
Among them are suffering Christian communities, who in many parts of the region already face ongoing persecution, discrimination, and violence – and whose situation can worsen dramatically during periods of war and mass displacement.
For years, Christian minorities in parts of the Middle East have lived under extreme pressure – facing threats to their safety, their freedom to worship, and their ability to remain in their homeland.
Hundreds of thousands have already fled to keep their families safe from militant extremists, economic collapse, and religious persecution.
Across the Holy Land, entire Christian communities are vanishing from these historic lands where Christ walked and lived – and where Christianity itself was born.
When conflict escalates, these pressures don’t disappear – they often intensify.
Churches are bombed. Priests are killed. Families are forced to flee.
And too often, their stories go unheard.
We believe:
- No Christian should face persecution because of their faith
- Christian communities deserve dignity and protection
- Governments and international bodies must act to safeguard these vulnerable groups
What We’re Calling For
In the face of ongoing conflict and instability in the Middle East, we call on the Australian Government to step up its support for vulnerable Christian communities.
Specifically, we urge the government to:
- Increase humanitarian aid to displaced and vulnerable Christian communities across the region
- Advocate for the protection of religious minorities and religious freedom in international forums and diplomatic engagements
- Support peacebuilding and stabilisation efforts that help safeguard minority communities and promote long-term security
- Ensure humanitarian assistance is delivered fairly, reaching those most at risk, including minority groups often overlooked
- Work with international partners and NGOs to monitor and respond to incidents of religious persecution
Who We Are
We are a faith-based not-for-profit Catholic organisation committed to supporting persecuted Christians around the world, and keeping the flame of faith alive. Guided by compassion and the belief in human dignity, we work to provide aid and advocate for those suffering for their faith.
👉 Stand for those whose voices are too often ignored
In a region facing deep and complex challenges, we can still choose to stand for compassion, dignity, and protection for all.
